See allThis book was funny, moving, and intense. I read it in three days, but I was so absorbed by it that I could as well have read it in one. If you want to see a glimpse of life as one of the first influencers in the 2000s, this is for you.
Also, be aware that a certain part of the book is about her integrating into a “re-education camp”, and her psychological and physical abuse there for two years.
Unfortunately, I didn't get how deep and philosophical the conversations of this book were supposed to be. To me most dialogs seem fussy and superficial. I don't find any character of the books interesting, and I find the main character condescending and lazy. It was a pain to read this, and I was happy to get to the end of this book, two months after I began to read it. The end does not align with the story to me and it feels like the book finished prematurely.
An interesting approach to death and the absurdity of human behaviors, from the point of view of teenage boys ; I know a lot who would be disturbed by the lack of explanations, but to me it just makes it more poetic.
