This felt so short but it was such a good time. Crazy stuff. Love this author's world building and his...creativity

Idk it was fine. I think I would've enjoyed more exploration of some of the concepts they introduced because there were some very cool ideas but it was just really fast paced and felt like they were trying to make something a movie that would've been better as a mini series.

Such a silly time I cant believe. Felt like a mix of Hunger Games and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, definitely scratched an itch I didnt know I had. The voice actors on the audiobook were fantastic as well

I really liked the magic system of this book but I felt like the characters didn't really have their own unique personalities, rather they seemed pretty adjustable depending on what needed to happen in the plot without a lot of reason. Still very fun and interesting to read, however.

Really great end to this trilogy! It was a very dark book at times as far as how many people die, but also a really clever way to tie the previous books together and drive an outcome that felt right for this. A bunch of religious overtones too which I'm always a sucker for in fantasy and sci fi.

Very beautiful book, really liked the perspective and writing

Such a cool world to be reading into. Fantastic writing with such a keen hand for making you feel the emotions of the characters. Great but devastating.

Borrows some from Game of Thrones but also I love GoT so hey. It's got some really interesting plot points though and it feels like an epic fantasy at a small scale which is kind of nice.

Recommended by Kennedy. Predictable but a nice read. Makes sense for 2020.

This reads like a classic, the writing and storytelling is so expertly done and the ending while bleak felt like a realistic ending and perfectly complimented the situation if not the tone of the entire book. Might be one of the best books I've ever read.

Really cool premise with a story that I didnt expect. Fun fantasy

I really am a fan of all the religious parallels that this has, really long form way of looking at what God could actually look like

This was fine and interesting but ultimately it still just feels like the minimum is being done to meet the publisher's requirements and get another paycheck

This whole series is just world(s) building and I'm here for it

This made Iron Gold and Dark Age worth it. So much catharsis and so much good follow up after so much devolution

I found this surprisingly interesting, the author's vulnerable style of writing was engaging and not too overwhelming. She did really well tying together some pretty disparate subjects

I think the worldbuilding is the coolest part of this but also its just a fun, silly time.

This is such a fun time, especially since it had the same narrator as Project Hail Mary. Such a weird concept but very entertaining to listen to.

This was fine. It was pretty hard to understand the narration at times but i thought it was cool that it was narrated by the author himself. Also, the pacing was really weird at parts and it was so hard to know what had just happened and where they were at.

This book started out as a 5 star book until about halfway through but it seems like it's veering more towards brutality for the sake of brutality and shock, and I'm not a huge fan of that

This book felt pretty predictable overall but its strength is that the world its set in is so fun and interesting to read about. However I found most of the characters unlikeable and all the surprises obvious.

Beautiful writing, but it took me a bit to come around to a plot in a fantasy book that's not advanced by action

I think this is a rating I could see myself inflating later if Dark Age builds on it really well, but for now this book seemed to be primarily setup for this second series in the franchise.

Interesting stuff but also I've learned that I don't care about self help books unless they have a lot of narrative or anecdotes to carry me through.

I didn't think the writing in this book was particularly spectacular, and I thought that every character under 50 was what an 80 year old expects a younger person to act like, but also it was a very nice little story and was relaxing to read. Had nice PNW vibes.
