I really liked the magic system of this book but I felt like the characters didn't really have their own unique personalities, rather they seemed pretty adjustable depending on what needed to happen in the plot without a lot of reason. Still very fun and interesting to read, however.
Recommended by mom. this book ended up being surprisingly insightful on the origins of Zionism in the US and what it means to choose vs to have something chosen for you.
Such a cool world to be reading into. Fantastic writing with such a keen hand for making you feel the emotions of the characters. Great but devastating.
