At the beginning I was a bit rolling my eyes when the essay started with the good old "we should all listen to each others" (which gets harder and harder as fascism is only increasing), but slowly it got deeper, showing how divisive our societies have become and how those in power play with those tensions to assert dominance and destroy more and more of our lives. It showed me a bit of hope even if time is getting short to act and have an impact.
Do not be afraid of complexity. Be afraid of people who promise an easy shortcut to simplicity.

Great book that shows queer representations across all of history and mythology, showing through those timeless tales that we always existed and were always there. On top of that the illustrations of each tale is absolutely stunning. It truly moved me to read all those tales from around the world and see a part of myself in each of those.

Loved this one, mix of mystery, race tensions, police investigation and history. I was totally into the story trying to understand what was happening. This is a deep dive into America most redneck counties and their racial tensions handled greatly from the beginning to the end. It paints a picture of deep America that reminded me of Demon Copperhead too.
