Why this book?
when I was roughly 8 years old, my mom went to an estate sale and came back with pretty much all of the books L.M. Montgomery published. Emily was the first one I cracked open, and has remained my favorite of her books ever since <3
(PS: it's better than Anne of Green Gables.)
