i really liked this! i liked how she discussed her feelings of apathy all throughout her life in depth and how she knew she was different from most other people because of that. I also liked the incorporation of learning about psychology as well as her story of how she was driven to become a psychologist to learn more about her condition. super insightful & inspiring!

i really enjoyed the writing and storyline of this book! where it was lacking for me is, i think, my expectations of it being focused on being dystopian when in reality that was such a small aspect of the book. ultimately, this book is about 3 friends growing up together with a side plot of dystopian. So if you go into it knowing it's mostly a coming-of-age story rather than a dystopian, you should enjoy it!

yeah this book was just not for me. it had some beautiful quotes but it was a bit too philosophical and existential for me and it felt like it kept saying the same things over and over. also, i'm a sucker for mentions of multiverses but this did not do it well at all. I can see why some people liked it as a whole, but it's just not really for me.

I was pretty disappointed by this one. The writing was weird in that so many times sentences would hop so quickly from one thing happening at one moment to something happening literally the next day. I'm just also not really into the kind of horror that makes up this book, which I really didn't know the specifics before reading. Not a bad book, just not for me.
