Excellent - great fun!

Excellent - great fun.

I received a review copy from the publisher.
Review in progress...

One dimensional characters. Predictable, repetitive plot scenarios with stupid action and violence.

Not sure about this book. Some interesting ideas, but the writing style and characterisation is somewhat insipid.
However I'm curious to see to where the narrative leads, so I'll read a few more books. Doubt that I'll be reading all 12.

The final part of this series. I just got too bored to finish. I don't care who did it!

An epic and gritty story that pulls together the strands of Snakewood, and The Winter Road, and brings the tale to a tumultuous conclusion.
Best book I've read so far this year.

An epic tale, dark, but nonetheless engrossing.

I've read most of Alistair Reynolds' books, but this series is not up to his usual standard. Doesn't do it for me.

Glorious!

A journey through the highs and lows of the author's life from the viewpoint of food, and how it has influenced and moulded him.

I had to keep putting the book down so I could go and cook something!

Ken MacLeod bang on form!
Leaves us on a cliff-hanger - roll on part 2.

Very dark. Very grim. I don't think any of the main characters in the book had any redeeming qualities.
A hard read.

Started well, by half way through it was irritating me with story inconsistencies.

Gave up. Not proof read, bad punctuation. Reads as if poorly translated from another language.

An ok series, but the ending was a little weak.

Rude, crude, and lots of violent action. A great yarn!

Hard work and a little disturbing.

I gave this a 4, but bits of the book seemed disjointed - some flash backs - can't say more without giving too much away. Also a lot of philosophical introspection and self justification.

Having said that the plot and story were good. Can't quite work out if there is mote to come.

Excellent! Great writing, great characters, and a plot full of action, and rampant with treachery and duplicitousness.
Bring on the next book!

Reading the first book I had Grant Fletcher down as a Reacher clone. He's not; much better written and more realistic in other ways.
