Honestly so good I read this again immediately after I finished it the first time.
I LOVE the trope of marriage of convenience (even if this was a drunk Vegas marriage) and the two slowly falling in love anyway.
Eloise always had a soft spot in my heart and I love getting her story.
Jasper is not a man of many words, but you listen when he talks and you read his silence of what he means to say.
Bubbly and bright, talks too much Eloise meets quiet and broody Jasper.
Chefs kiss.
re-read July 2023
Gahhh love this book so much. I love Knox and his sweet heart for Memphis and Drake.
Gobbled this book right up
*****
Sexy tattooed chefs are one of my many weaknesses
Add in a single mom who is starting over in a small town, just looking for some freedom and to catch a break.
Knox wants to resist Memphis, but can't. It's a whole will they won't they, but you totally know they will. It's more of a when will they finally...?
Ooooof a second chance romance.
Half of this I wonder if this would be considered a red flag or stalking if Foster wasn't hot AF?
(i.e. moving to her town to get her back)
All things considered... was definitely rooting for Foster to win back Doctor Talia Eden.
She deserves happiness and a family and her happy ending.
This was so full of grit and lustful suspense.
I really enjoyed this kind of enemies but also friends to lovers romance.
Stevie moves in across the hall from Bishop, and although they get off to a rough start, she becomes his PT.
He wants her, but has to keep things professional to get back on the ice as soon as possible.
Stevie doesn't like the spotlight since her brother is teammates with Bishop, but faces her fears and doesn't want to hide anymore.
This was so good!!!
RJ is a fox, and is so protective over his lil Lainey.
They have a chance encounter when they both go to Alaska for the summer, and have a whirlwind romance. Mostly steamy, but some love in there as well.
Circumstances take RJ away faster than he planned, and he has to leave his love quickly.
It's another year before the two cross paths again, and they both have a secret....
My lil Silas Potato!!!!
Fake dating, age gap. 10/10 tropes in this.
As always, Meghan Quinn writes a laugh out loud story. The characters always have amazing depth and growth.
Silas was messed up after being cheated on by his high school sweetheart, when Ollie swoops in and proposed a fake dating arrangement. They slowly fall for each other but Silas has his walls built up.
I felt like the entire time reading this I just wanted to shake their shoulders and yell at them to smarten up!!!!
Penny and Eli are so funny... I always laugh at loud reading this authors books.
Not personally a fan of accidental pregnancy tropes but I enjoyed this one.
I liked watching them grow as friends to a couple growing a child, and then building that relationship.
Ok this book was hilarious and romantics. I laughed out loud so many times!!!!
After Winnie gets her car stuck in a ditch, she wanders her way to safety and ends up knocking on the cabin door of 5 professional hockey players.
Winnie and Pacey (the team's goalie) become close very quickly. They feel like they know each other so their connection forms quick.
Their chemistry is off the charts. Not just physically, but emotionally. They are quick to form their friendship, but their kisses just take over and they lose control.
All of the boys are close, and their friendship and the way they support each other is endearing.
Winnie is going through personal growth, and is suspicious of the quick friendships she is forming. Pacey knows she's the one and can't let her go back to her adventure and leave him.
I really really enjoyed this book, and I'm eager to read the next in the series.
This book has me feeling every type of way.
I love a second chance romance, and Leo is such a friggin sweetie I can't take it.
Leo and Mary met playing Halo online in high school (they have a huge separation) and their paths cross again in college.
Leo is hot shot football man with a huge personality.
Mary is a tatted and pierced curvy girl who doesn't give Leo the time of day. Why would she? He doesn't remember or recognize her from high school.
Mary has her Leo walls built high. She is stubborn and refuses all of his charm and remarks. But that just makes him want her more. Men love the challenge.
Must read, and see how Leo breaks down her walls and crawls his way into her heart.
Absolutely thrilled to have Kenan and Lotus' story.
Kenan is a introverted single dad, who's ex-wife loves drama and the spotlight. The warrior on the court.
Lotus works in fashion and is swearing off sex, to work through personal roadblocks. So of course she runs into the sexiest NBA player during this hiatus. Lotus is such a strong and powerful woman.
They start as friends only, but then slowly start to become more. Watching them fall in love was truly a gift.
This story is beautifully written, touches on really important topics with grace and respect.
This was an extremely emotional book. Definitely suggest checking TW as it deals with heavy subjects and describes the actions.
Very heartfelt emotional story.
Iris is stuck in a loveless and abusive relationship. She fears for her safety, and feels isolated and alone.
She meets August as a chance encounter, and feels instant connection. Like they have known each other for years.
Time passes, they cross paths occasionally as they are in the same circles but their timing to start something is never right.
August knows that she is the one, so he waits. He waits YEARS for her.
Even when they get together, he waits. She sets the pace, and he is just there. Silent and stoic. A great man. An imperfect one, but he is there for her. He helps her in ways that isn't controlling like her ex did.
This was a heart breaking but wonderful story about timing, survival, and owning who you are and being true.
So good! This had MZ slow burn vibes but was a lot quicker.
Single mom Madison moves next door to grumpy neighbour Garrett.
Madison has a past of bad ex's and has a hard time trusting men. She struggles asking for help, even with her 3 jobs to stay afloat. Slowly but surely, Garrett creeps into her heart and her life as a constant. He loves Jamie and is a good role model to him. He saves them and protects them.
“I know I can be too much but I think I'm just enough for you”
Oh my heart. Caleb is suuuuch a sweet love. He leads with kindness and loves to the absolute fullest.
Layla; the sweet bake shop owner, has trouble trusting herself and what she deserves. She has bad dating luck, and can't trust herself to fall for Caleb the way they both want.
Layla is such a sweet girl, and deserves the world. She bakes her butt off daily, and doesn't ask for much in return. She gets together with Caleb, and she finally sees him. He's had a long time crush but for a chance meeting at a bar out of town, she sees him as more than just a regular customer.
Age gap (female is older), and best friends son trope
I enjoyed this much more than the first one.
Erika is recently divorced, and Troy is her pool boy and best friends son. After he catches her sun bathing topless, a fire sparks between them.
Erika works as a music agent, and discovers Troy has a not so secret musical talent. She helps him get an audition to open for a big named star, and he becomes her muse to write new music.
Definitely ate this book up. The spice was out of this world
Age gap, ex-boyfriends dad. HELLO.
This was so spicy, and so fun to read.
Millie finally gets her story, and her happy ending.
Zach is a quiet man, and turns out he has a son from hen he was 18. After the son reached out and they have contact, the father/son relationship slowly grows.
Millie ends up being the son (her ex's) wedding planner. So when everyone shows up for the rehearsal.... Big surprise.
Zach and Millie can't stay away from each other, but they resist and keep it quiet to protect other peoples feelings.
During his work trips, Millie meets up with him for steamy nights, but it's hard because she knows deep down they won't work long term
Finally he gets his head straight and realizes he can't live without her - she's her home.
