Holly saves herself from an abusive marriage. While trying to sort out her new life and find her new normal she meets Micah. He doesn't save her cause she's done that herself but he helps her understand that it's ok to let people in. He helps and supports her while she learns to trust again. I liked that this wasn't just a guy riding in to save the damsel in distress but the damsel saving herself and allowing him to help her along the way
Kade was such a great read! I really loved that the characters weren’t perfect—they felt real, gritty, and lived-in. The heroine is a total badass, and I loved how she stood by Kade while he worked through his issues and realized where he’d gone wrong.
The pacing was spot on. It had that slow-burn feel but with insta-love vibes at the same time, and it didn't drag on. The found family aspect was a massive highlight for me because it gave the story so much heart. I really hope the rest of the series continues to evolve with the whole family dynamic!
The only downside for me was that I would have liked to know more about the origin story. However, since it wasn't a really long book, I assume that will play out through the rest of the series, which gives me something to look forward to!
These Sinful Lies by Beth Evans left me feeling conflicted; while the writing was solid and the steamy Bratva elements were there, the execution simply didn't match my high expectations for this installment. I appreciated getting some answers, but the delivery felt a bit too quick and surface-level, leaving several threads dangling that made me wonder if the series is truly over. It wasn’t a bad book, the editing was clean and the effort was clear, but the grit and depth I was hoping for didn't quite materialize, making it an okay read rather than a standout.
While I was fully committed to this universe after the first two books because I love them both, this one unfortunately missed the mark. The "taboo" elements felt underwhelming rather than shocking, and much of the dialogue landed as cringe-worthy rather than intense.
I pushed through to stay caught up with the series, but the abrupt ending left me with more questions than answers. I’m hoping the next installment gets the momentum back on track, as this finale felt rushed and lacked the spark of its predecessors. I really hope that the next one is better because I just loved the characters in the first two.
This sequel is just as incredible as the first! It perfectly balances high heat with a gripping storyline that kept me hooked from start to finish.
What truly sets this book apart is the found family dynamic. I loved seeing the men find their own connections and acceptance it wasn’t just focused on the female lead, but on how these boys chose each other. It’s a beautiful example of loyalty and brotherhood.
With plenty of steamy moments and surprising humor, it’s a well-rounded, fantastic read. I can't wait to start the third book!
These Sinful Delights is an addictive series opener that perfectly balances high-heat chemistry with a meaningful plot. It follows a divorcee’s journey toward finding the loves of her life, delivering a story that is as heartfelt as it is steamy.
What I Loved:
The Story: It’s more than just spice; the narrative is well-developed and genuinely interesting.
Bi-Awakening: This trope was handled brilliantly—it felt authentic and added great depth to the characters.
The Pace: It’s a fun, fast-paced read that manages to feel grounded rather than like a "free-for-all."
This book is a fantastic blend of insta-love and possessive alpha energy. If you want a "hot" contemporary romance where the story is just as good as the chemistry, with mafia elements then this is the story for you. I'm officially hooked on the Sinner’s Bay series and can't wait to start book 2
I quite liked this book. I found it funny and sweet but not corny. The meet cute was great and I found the slight alpha behaviour a refreshing change of pace from some of my recent reads. (Still love my dark romance bit sometimes a change is as good as a holiday). I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

I didn't like this one which surprised me cause I thought I would. The MMC came across as such a d@#k to me and I hated that Libby just accepted it. I'm not a fan of the way she thought she was in the wrong when she tried to tell her but he kept shutting her down. And then that he let her apologise also it just aggravated me. I don't think this really has any spoilers but I ticked it anyway just in case.
I am genuinely speechless. This story wasn't just "great"—it was an absolute emotional overhaul. While I usually adore a brooding hero, Demi exists so deep in the darkness and cold that his journey toward the light felt like a grueling climb.
My heart didn't just ache for Sienna; it shattered. The emotional turmoil was so visceral that I was sobbing—proper, messy tears—over the pain of her journey. The writing creates such a profound connection to the characters that you feel every ounce of their heartbreak. This is a hauntingly beautiful read that will stay with you long after the final page.
I’ve been looking forward to this one since book one; the chemistry between these two was so promising that I couldn't wait to see them get their own story. However, I didn’t love it as much as I hoped I would.
While the suspense elements were definitely interesting and kept the plot moving, the payoff felt like a bit of a letdown. My main struggle, though, was with the character dynamics. It felt like he was essentially getting away with murder, and she just... let it happen. It wasn't an issue for her, and she just continued on as if nothing was wrong.
It might just be a "me" thing, and that’s fine, but I personally needed more pushback or accountability to really buy into their relationship this time around. An okay read, but I wanted a bit more
This was a lightning-fast read that truly threw in everything but the kitchen sink. It felt like a non-stop parade of tropes—arranged marriage, forced proximity, miscommunication, and accidental pregnancy—stacked one right after the other.
While it was a solid "ok" read, the sheer speed and constant influx of plot points kept it from reaching its full potential. Perfect for readers who want a quick-burn that never slows down for a second.
I recently finished Strictly Not Yours, and it was a solid, engaging story. The humor really landed for me. There were several laugh-out-loud moments that made the reading experience feel light and fun.
However, I struggled with the pacing of the conflict resolution. The female lead forgave the hero far too easily, which to be honest annoyed me. If you enjoy a quick-moving romance with great banter, this is worth a look, but don't expect a long, drawn-out "grovel."
This series has been incredible from start to finish, and this book was the perfect way to round it all out. The relationship between the leads was beautiful. Seeing her finally have someone in her corner was everything. Despite her mind-blowing history, her willingness to take a chance on love added a lovely softness to her character without losing any of her fierce, badass energy.
While it took a moment to get my head around the new characters introduced, the plot was solid the whole way through. The concept is entirely fresh for a Mafia romance and so well-executed. Five stars, no notes!
Emily Rose has delivered a truly unique take on mafia romance that stands out from anything else I’ve read in the genre. The writing is top-tier, and I loved how the new characters were introduced while the "found family" threads began to weave together. It is such a well-told story that does a brilliant job of building momentum for the finale.
However, the chemistry between the leads didn't quite click for me. Based on his previous cameos, Massimo wasn't the character I expected, and I struggled to connect with Lucy as a heroine. Even though the pairing wasn't my personal favorite, the innovative storytelling makes this a must-read. I can't wait to see how it all wraps up in the last book!
I really enjoyed how unapologetically Alpha Knox was. He fell for her instantly and just knew she was his "one," which is exactly the kind of fast-paced connection I love. I appreciated that while he was possessive, he supported her without being overbearing or pressuring.
It was a shorter, quicker read compared to others in the series, making it a solid, bingeable choice. I would have liked a little more depth in certain areas, but overall, it was a great addition to the series
I’ve been waiting for Lars to get his own book since he first appeared, and it did not disappoint in any way! His unwavering commitment is exactly what I love—he’s decisive, skips the games, and just gets in there to commit.
The female main character was the perfect balance; she felt like a normal person, which made her incredibly relatable and easy to root for. To top it all off, that twist was absolutely insane! This is a must-read if you want a fast-paced, high-intensity romance that actually delivers on the hype.
This wasn't your typical gritty mafia romance; it perfectly balanced dark themes with unexpected humor and deep heart. While parts were genuinely heartbreaking and had me in tears, the massive twist was the real standout—I usually spot them coming, but this one completely blew my mind. I’m officially hooked and can’t wait to read the rest of the family's stories!
is an absolute must-read that delivers everything you want in a romance and then some. The dynamic between the heroine, who constantly wants to run, and the hero, who acts as her immovable, supportive rock, is perfection. He knows exactly when to wait and when to push, proving he is truly her person.
Beyond the central heat, the story is packed with:
Humor and Heart: It’s consistently funny and entertaining.
Perfect Drama: Just enough tension to keep the pages turning.
Easter Eggs: Delightful cameos from past characters.
Future Teases: Great introductions to new characters who definitely deserve their own books.
It’s a balanced, "all the feels" kind of read that hits every mark. Highly recommended.
I was hooked from the very first page and stayed up way too late because I just couldn't put this down! The chemistry is electric—he is the ultimate grumpy, bossy alpha, but she is the perfect match for him. I loved that she wasn't a pushover; she gave him just enough struggle to keep things interesting.
This story has everything I look for: intense drama, delicious angst, and fiery fighting that leads to even better payoffs. If you love a high-tension romance where the sunshine heroine actually stands her ground against a demanding hero, you need to read this immediately!
This forced marriage mafia romance was a truly solid read, but for me, the absolute highlight was the character development. While the story is packed with suspense that keeps the pace moving perfectly—not too long and not too short—the real magic was in the relationship. I loved watching the FMC’s transformation; she starts off meek and mild, but with the MMC’s support, she discovers a fierce inner strength and finally finds her voice.
On the flip side, seeing her be the only one capable of softening his "demons" was so satisfying. He’s a dark character who wouldn't have understood love without her, and that "only she can change him" dynamic was written beautifully.
The plot includes a great twist that definitely keeps things interesting, and it wraps up nicely without leaving you frustrated by unanswered questions. If you love a story where the emotional growth is just as intense as the mafia stakes, you need to check this one out.
This story is the ultimate soul-warming comfort read. It follows a single mom returning home to navigate family life, only to find a grumpy boss who, despite his own drama, falls head over heels for both her and her son. It’s a simple, heartfelt, and incredibly cute romance that feels like a warm hug.
