R.F Kuang, once again, leaves a gaping wound in my chest. what a poignant and relevant book.  it may be the most important book i've read in quite some time.

Well. i'm invested

oh god, what a story. this book has been EVERYWHERE so i went into it with a certain high expectation, yet it delivered with its impeccable storytelling and beautiful writing. it was heart-wrenching and worth every ounce or hype. 

went into it expecting Knives Out vibes and it gave me just that. kinda cliche but the pacing was good and it kept me engaged, it was short and sweet.

your honor this shit was so cute. the MCs really were the backbone of this book, a beautiful transition from enemies to friends to soulmates. (writing was average and hard to read sometimes but I'll give it a pass) 

my dear god, what an incredible fantasy series. it will stay with me for a very long time.

this book contains a TON of research that honestly was so impressive and fun to read about, I think part 3 went on a bit longer than needed but overall as an avid reader of fiction I enjoyed this self-help book immensely and will go back to the highlighted parts in it in the future. 

what a marvelous fantasy book, the writing and the pacing is impeccable, and the third book just solidifed the chokehold this series has on me. i genuinely got sucked into the fictional world when i read this and can't wait to read the final installment.
