What an excellent book! He was very honest and open. As I was reading it, I could hear Elton John's voice out loud as well as in the writing style. Often, famous biographies are ghost written and gloss over the nasty bits. Not this one! Kudos Sir Elton, for this wonderful look into your life.

This book took me back to my childhood! While written for young adults, this 45 year old had no qualms enjoying this read. It took a chapter to get the Thra lingo down, but I didn't mind. To me this is part of a fantasy world. Just watched the first episode of the Netflix series and they explained the terms well. I found the glossary at the back of the book after finishing! I wish it had been at the front of the book along with the map of Thra. I will be reading the rest of the series if I can get my hands on it.

DNF. I very rarely stop reading a book before the end. But I just didn't want to waste anymore time on it. I feel that this isn't necessarily a bad book, but more that it just was not my kind of writing style. I stopped a third of the way through the book and didn't feel that we got any further in the plot. Or that there was any. It's to bad. I liked the premise of the book.

This was a great quick read. I do wish that we got a greater picture of exactly what happened in the last scene. It is implied throughout the book but never clearly explained.

Not my favorite in the series so far, but still a decent read.
