this had potential and i really did want to like this, but the writing just had so much more telling than showing, not to mention how much it dragged around the middle,,

this was honestly so unserious but it was also sooo funny. i had a fantastic time reading this (which i didn't expect since im usually very afraid of second chance romances)

the humor and tone from the first book that i did like a lot is still here for sure, but i reallyyy just couldn't buy the entire eva and zinnia thing. but the themes and messaging i do still love!

this.... was so peak i do not even know what to say

arthur my son,,, why did he kept getting wrecked man 😭 like free him????

see a little too much of myself in this ☹️

curiosity kills the cat once more 😔

this book (and especially the ending) was really touching and it does have so so much heart in it, but the continuous shifts in perspective mid chapter was incredibly jarring and i just feel like the characters and their relationships didn't get as much depth as i would've liked

this is genuinely inspiring me to actually start locking in for art. anyway, i really enjoyed the insight into basic art stuff!! i'm not very familiar with the technical stuff (i'm self taught) so it was actually super useful

sighs.... if only i could get proposed to like that

a lovely, cozy little read! also, i am very, very jealous of takoko.... i would KILL to live just above a bookstore

this was literally made in a lab to appeal to me specifically

I really enjoyed the way this was written! I've always been partial to narrations that act like a person directly telling the story to you the reader. Anyway, I really liked the main cast! I thought they were all pretty fun and Raksh was kind of like a pathetic wet cat to me <3

i put this book down several times simply because i was actually getting so mad i needed that many breaks (i literally started rereading warrior cats to calm down :sob:)

the way i would literally die for silas, daphne and mary

willy wonka was much more evil than i remembered him

jamie spears count your days

this would eat as an animated series. anyway! that translators note nearly brought me to tears for some reason

super appreciate that reference list at the end and i WILL be going through them!! this was very interesting as a more historical read, but in terms of story and writing, it didn't quite hit im afraid,, still a really good read though

im such a sucker for fluffy, light hearted romances with a sprinkle of (reasonable) conflict...

and aiden and lucie were just good characters too :] their chemistry was great!

rip uncle monty... he was my fav in the movie

the romance could've used a lot more build up...
