oh my god it made me cry several times.

its so beautiful how Mariam still found meaning within her life at the end especially!! But oh my god. It was so tragic.

interesting look into kurt cobains mind!! felt quite guilty looking into something so clearly private, though.

I really enjoyed this book, despite agreeing with a lot of the criticism it was given!

A lot of characters felt like they never really grew up, or matured in any meaningful way beyond just getting jobs or the like. I didn't really like the decision to kill off Marx even though I really enjoyed the sequence during his coma before death. Though it almost works out in the end, I feel a lot of real people are just kind of mean and childish even in there adult life but I wish something made them grow in the end.

Sadie's relationship with Dov also felt incredibly odd, and almost like nothing was really done about it? No one really cared or mentioned how weird it was, and it felt only surface level when we got Sadie's thoughts on it. It feels like something about that should've continued to affect her during her adult years.
