Goddamnit, Donut. These books are incredible. Today, I actually had to make the very hard choice of whether to play Baldurs Gate with my friends or keep reading about some other guy “playing” an RPG.

I have also stolen about half of this book for my dnd campaign.

The second book in the series is still good, though I liked the first one better. My favorite aspect of the first book was getting to know Dunk and Egg, and there wasn't as much of that in this one.

I am starting to realize that these books read like a dnd one-shot.

Decent but lacking some depth. Very confusing and chaotic having three very similar names fight it out in a final battle.

This book is a perfect nostalgia trip. Book is 10/10 it self, the Stephen Fry narration is a 10/10 and the full cast edition is a 10/10.

Fun story and cool character abilities. A bit too simple to be great though. The dialogue had me rolling my eyes more than once.
