9/10

Everything was cool, that is all I have to say.

9/10

An awesome conclusion to what has become my favourite fantasy series. The characters are wrapped up beautifully and in his classic style way Ambercrombie manages to make not a single main character happy with their situation.

8.5/10

Awesome all the way to the end. The final battle was a bit confusing to me, and I am not sure how to feel about the first part of that epilogue. It seemed a bit rushed and too easy to me. The second part of the epilogue was unexpected and sets up the next two books nicely.

10/10

Once again, I find myself just doing chores around the house to have an excuse for listening to this audibook. It was absolutely fantastic. The story is pretty good, but the characters are stunning. How does he do it?

Odin: “Boys, we have a problem”
Loki: “I guess I'll turn into an animal of some sort and fix it.”
Thor: “Me smash!”

That was it. It was great. 7.5/10

9/10

Back on track after the chaos of the previous books. Fun twists and turns that you never see coming.

5.5/10

I will have to reread this in written format. This rating might be unfair as I felt that most of the problems with pacing and me being confused all the time could be solved by reading the written version.

9/10

Goddamnit, Donut. These books are incredible. Today, I actually had to make the very hard choice of whether to play Baldurs Gate with my friends or keep reading about some other guy “playing” an RPG.

I have also stolen about half of this book for my dnd campaign.

9.5/10

Just pure fun. It was refreshing for me to read something where the humor is front and center rather than just some comedic relief dribbled between all the grimdark. Every single character is likeable and familiar. On to the next one!

9.5/10

Super cool and detailed magic system. Short and to the point. I loved that the main protagonist is struggling with having no powers, and his only way to get what he want is to trust other people he wouldn't have trusted if he didn't need to.

9/10

This was a 7/10 for me all the way until the end. However, my headcannon is now that Brandon has Kelsier, Dalinar, and Wit as his own imaginary crew at all times. That put a smile on my face for sure.

7/10

Unlike the previous three books, I think I would have liked reading this better than listening to it. The story in itself was good, I just had major problems really getting into the characters.

9/10

The idea behind the main character is just as good and well executed as the first book. I love that the aspects are expanded on, but also that we explore how he would work without them.

8.5/10

Compelling story and an interesting viewpoint. It is always cool to explore Sandersons' new worlds, and this book really dove into the taynix magic system.

7.5/10

I love seeing the story play out from different points of view, so this was a cool book. It feels like it was cut a bit short, but ReDawn might solve that. It might also have been more intriguing if I read this while I was reading the main Skyward story rather than a year after.

7/10

Some cool backstory, but very direct and to the point. Could have benefited with some more meat on the bone.

6/10
This one was kinda weird. I don't really know what to say.

9/10

Wonderfully stupid and witty. The story is fun and super fast-paced. As per usual, we are able to explore an interesting magic system and world. I have no idea how this man never runs out of ideas for new planets.

Definitely recommended even if you haven't read any cosmere at all!
