It was pretty good. The thing that turned me off the most was probably the last chapter in which each character sternly says, “I will never believe you ever again” ten seconds before running face first into another Lie of Locke Lamora.
The world is growing on me, and the epilogue sets up the next entry so I am looking forward to more.

It just keeps getting better. Abercrombies attention to detail is simply amazing.
The repeated quotes by some characters make them all feel unique and memorable. The way characters years later start quoting each other is just perfect. Even the chapter names make me want to keep on reading every time.
Just like in the rest of the First Law World, my favorite chapters are the ones where we see the same event from multiple points of view. This time we get to see chaos and war from the eyes of the man on the ground, while the rest of the story follows the people on the top of the food chain. These chapters were absolutely perfect. It goes to show that this is a story about the characters, to the level that a character I have never heard of before and will never see again can have a serious impact on the chapter through a single paragraph.
Finally, Steven Pacey, the narrator for the audiobooks, is at the pinnacle of narration with this series.
This floor: 3/10. Everything else: 9/10
The first third was good and not too complicated as the characters didn't even know what was going on. At some point, however, they knew everything about the layout, and the entire book spiralled into chaos. I have read hundreds of pages while repeatedly thinking the same as the characters themselves: “Please God, just let me move on to the next floor.”

This is such a cool idea. I really hope someone adapts this into a series. The aspects are interesting and I just want to meet more of them. The way Leeds doesn't want to acknowledge that the work being done is all him is very relatable.
-1 point because it should have been longer and the motivation in the story was a bit shallow.

I feel like I just read a short version of Kaladins' character development. It was awesome to read a male viewpoint in this series, especially one dealing with anxiety and immense pressure. To me, Jorgen feels like the most relatable and realistic character in this series (thus far).
As always with this man, his magic systems and world just expand endlessly. Bravo!

This book was awesome. I love more or less every single character even though they can be stereotypical sometimes. Gloktas inner monologues are amazing, also due to Steven Paceys wonderful narration. The ending is surprising considering this is the end of a trilogy, so I guess I'll just have to move directly onto the next one.
