9/10
The cover of my edition of the book states: “Fans of Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson will find much to admire”. I can now confirm this statement.
The middle part of the book was way too slow in my opinion. The politics just aren't interesting enough to spend that .uvh time with them. However, the epilogue was absolutely perfect and wraps up the story in an amazing way. I can never get enough of this kind of time-fuckery.
10/10
Absolute perfection, only amplified by the narrator of the audio book!
Gloktas point of view is one of my favorite POVs of any that I have ever read. The characters are so different and provide different views on the same events in a refreshing way. You can easily identify if what you, as a reader, are told is a characters opinion or fact. This is probably because multiple characters give their thoughts on the same events within short amounts of time.
Looking forward to the next one and adding this to the list of audio books I will re-listen when I don't want something new.
7/10
The middle part, with the endless politics for Wirr and the seemingly meaningless “training montage” for Davian and Ishelle, didn't work for me at all.
In the 2-3 last chapters, I feel like the prose is mediocre at best. I couldn't get invested in the action as these action-packed scenes never “flowed” for me.
The epilogue pulls this up from a 3-star, 6/10 rating.

It's fun to listen to something so different. Jennette fluently takes the reader through her entire life, while deftly describing each and every one of her struggles and how most if them lead back to her abusive mother. The humor, the narration by the author herself, the intimate explanation of her feelings, and the description of each significant relationship she has had kept me listening for hours on end.
9.5/10
Sanderson did it again!
The whole book was an absolute blast. Discovering new stuff on this planet, then suddenly mixing with multiple other Cosmere works was perfect.
I felt the urgency for stopping disaster through the entire part three. The ending for Wayne is absolutely perfect. Hoid just passing by is perfect.
The missing 0.5 points are for the anticlimactic scene when Marasi drains the pool. This scene had the potential to be epic, but it missed the mark by a mile, in my opinion.
I'm definitely coming back to Mistborn era 2 at some point!
9/10
All problems from the previous book have been solved in this entry as the characters become more familiar and I feel like the relationships between them are much clearer.
The story in it self is grand and awesome. The descriptive battles and depictions of characters and magical beings are in the very elite of fantasy authors I have read. The choices characters make are believable and understandable.
I very much recommend this series and can't wait for the third entry.
8.5/10
Very cool magic system, likable characters, and a great sequence of twists and turns towards the end.
I have no direct problems with this book, but it took me a while to finish it. I felt like I wasn't 100% captivated and HAD to read as much as possible. Hence, the good but not perfect rating. It's definitely worth a reread, and a sequel would be awesome.
Graphic Audio Reread:
8/10 - Somehow, it seemed a bit childish on this listen
9/10 - GA adaption, though. Good music and narration. My only problem was that at times, the ambient sounds would wash out the dialog.
7/10
This is a classic Sanderson work, but it lacks the absolute polish and finesse he has developed in his later books. Some of the twists in this book feel awesome while others feel lackluster and overlooked.
Just like with all the other Cosmere works I can't wait to see how all this is going to tie together in the end.
6/10
Some of the stories are fun and interesting to me, while others fall a bit short. It feels unfulfulling to read about a named character for a number of pages only for them to never appear again. The prose and humor is fun and flowing.
All in all I would say this is a thoroughly good book, but not my kind of story.
9.5/10
Somehow Sanderson always succeeds in creating a likeable character with personal problems in the first book, only for them to become a God and spectacularly save the world in the third book. It works every single time. Additionally, the continuous world-building and expansion of the Cosmere is awesome. I can't wait for all these books to come together, and I am more hyped than ever for the final entry in Mistborn era 2.

Wax 9/10
Wayne 10/10
Marasi viewpoints 4/10
Thoroughly enjoyable most of the time. More character development than the first book which was great to see. The storyline feels deeper and more connected to the awesome world that was created in the first Mistborn era. However, I found myself putting the book down and doing something else way too many times when I flipped the page and realized that I had to read another “Marasi at the police station” chapter.
