Jackie Lau has given me all the things I needed in this gem. From the lovable characters to the spice that was just perfect for this story.

Grumpy and sunshine rolesthat are switched just rocked my world and I LOVED IT! With such a bang on the beginning to show what kind of dynamic we are dealing with was mind blowing! But it made everything else just that much sweeter in comparison to what was before.

These characters were an absolute delight and I couldn't have loved their dynamic more. With this being a short read, I couldn't help but want more! I want so much more of their life and how well they mesh!

This was definitely a different take on a suspense book than I expected. I can't say that I loved this.  But I didn't dislike it either. There were times that I was a bit confused but later surprised at the turn of things.

This is a book worth taking a chance on. It was certainly more twisted than I ever expected. I just wish there would have been a few more twists along the way!

Nothing like ringing in the holidays like a busy donut shop, a little crush on the Chief of police, and new people in town. When new people arrive there are always those who question their motives, but when a young woman comes asking for a job Maggie can't help but notice a few things.

Not only is Maggie an amazing sleuth, she also has a heart of gold. Helping Myra while trying to do everything she can to figure out where the deceased came from, literally falls into her lap.

I absolutely love how precious Maggie and Brett are and I hope they continue to move in the direction they are headed with their relationship!

And Orsen the cutie with a grumpy exterior but a teddy bear on the inside never ceases to amaze me. He is such a ornery and funny man, but has the absolute best of intentions.

This book was another huge win for me and I can't wait to read more!

From the first book I have read from Megan Miranda I fell in love with her writing and how well she could spin a story. She could weave a web so tight it was hard to see your way out, much less get out with a pair of scissors.

Unfortunately The Girl From Widow Hills was not that enticing web that I so wholeheartedly welcomed when I started reading. It was like being in a room in the pitch black that is so dark you can't see your hand in front of your face. I couldnt see which way the story was leading and I felt like it wasn't giving me enough to want to keep searching for the light.

I continued to search for the one thing that kept me hooked and it just never really came. I finished this book because I was hoping that the ending would provide that much needed twist that I was longing for. And it was less than I ever hoped for.

This was definitely an underwhelming read that I would definitely say take a pass on.

I have quickly fallen in love with Emma's writing and her development of Dogwood Donuts and the characters surrounding it. There is always something going on at the donut shop whether it be fun between the two ladies and sometimes Orson. But there is always some kind of mystery around the corner.

This time it included our MC Maggie and shook her to the core. This was definitely an absolute wonderful plot and storyline and I cannot wait to see what Maggie and Mr. Officer have baking!

Holiday Festivals are always a fun and seasonal thing that many people enjoy. Especially those that have activities planned throughout. But murder comes to the festival in one of the town events that so many join up to support and partake on.

The round up of suspects was definitely a doozy! I absolutely lobe this small town vibe and the hygge attached with all of the shops, and people surrounding it.

I'm having a hard time deciding where my feelings land on this one. Through most of the book I had trouble wanting to sit down and read it for extended periods of time. I would get 35-50 pages in and I could just walk away without it being an urge to get back to because I had to know what was happening.

And I absolutely hate that I couldn't sit for an extended period of time to get through it. But do not get me wrong. This was a great story. I really enjoyed the twists, turns and the shock of events within the book.

I also wish there would have been more from from Coopers side of things. If we could have seen how it affected him or Daniel for that matter it could have sewn more doubt regarding who did what. I needed more of an explanation for what happened in the end. There was none for some things and I hate that there wasn't. It would have rounded the story more for so many questions that are being asked.

Murder Between The Lines was definitely a whodunit that I have fell in love with from the beginning. I absolutely loved previous Thea series and this will be another series I know I will love.

I absolutely enjoyed the twist and turns that were to throw you off the scent of the real killer, but even more so with some romance on the mix.

Add in the cozy background of a small town, and some serious hygge vibes and I'm seriously questioning life choices of why I don't live in a fictional story lol .

This is my first book by Emma and it was an absolute delight. Not going to lie, if you read this have some good donuts and coffee on hand to enjoy while they describe their food! Every time they were talking about donuts I had a hankering for one and good warm coffee.

I really enjoyed this short novel about a small business and the two women who run it. Not to mention the characters involved who end up solving a murder without even intending to solve it the way it was solved.

strong>Titanic Vibes With Greed, Money & Power

Andrew never ceases to show me a great time with the words he places between the pages of his books. I am never disappointed by anything he writes. And this book is another huge WIN in his repertoire!

Sloan is the ultimate female character that you can't help but root on throughout the whole book because she is such a kick butt woman! I would call her other things but Amazon doesn't like it when I say those in a review.

But just take my word for it that she is willing to do anything and everything for the people she loves ans those she doesn't even know to be safe.

The UIU was just the start of where her and her partner and boss go, and I am so beyond excited where this whole book went. It was such a wild goose chase that I loved in every single way possible. I couldn't put this book down because I absolutely needed to know what was going to happen.

I loved this and cannot wait for the next installment!

This was such a mind bending, and head scratching wild ride!! There wasn't a part of this ride that wasn't enjoyable. This was such a thought provoking read that I never could have anticipated the twists and turns that fueled my need to finish this book t see whay happened. I still have questions and I can't wait to see what happens in the next installment!

Where do I even begin? This was such a tumultuous ride through what most people could never dream of and others can't stop having nightmares about. Set in France during the most important times of a group of people's lives are their passion, revenge, love and lust. They must find which they want the most. And if the competition of the rivalry is enough to keep them all alive.

I really enjoyed the dual timeline that was in this book along with the single perspective. Although I think it would have thrown a little extra pizazz in the mix if there would have been some POV from Saskia. That would have blown me out of the water with this book. So many times I asked myself why would she go to all of this trouble?

I am excited to see what else Allie has is store for us in future books!

I made it 32% of the way and I just lost interest. As much as I hate to say that, I just couldn't keep going. There honestly wasn't enough to keep me intrigued enough to keep reading. Maybe this will be a pick me up later!

This is my first read for Thea and I am so glad I finally picked up one of her masterpieces. I absolutely loved every single page of this book. This was so hygge (hoo-ga) and I couldn't get enough of Esme and Ethan. They were such a cute couple with some amazing chemistry. Not to mention the perfect amount of curiosity they shared. This book is by far the very definition of hygge. Cozy, sweet and perfect in every way. It gave me such cozy vibes and I cannot wait to read the rest of the series!!

Family Reunion Mayhem, Murder & More

Another win from Thea!! Many people abhor family reunions but this family reunion of sorts was just what was needed. Same was able to see all the true family she had instead of those she didn't have. I absolutely can't wait for the next in the series!

Another big Hygge hug for this series!! I absolutely am in love with Esme and Ethan!! They have the cutest relationship and I am so beyond excited to see where their love will go from here! I'm also hopeful there will be more of Charlotte and Jacob in the upcoming books. They have such a cute start to their relationship!

Jennifer Hillier is a master at her craft, and this was another home run!! Jennifer knows exactly how to suck you in and think you know what's going on then WHAM! You don't know anything. You get him with a new twist and it only gets better from there.

I hope that you will take the chance to read this gem!!

I normally do not leave less than a 3 star rating for something I have read. But sweet baby Jesus in a manger, this was absolutely terrible. Granted it's 50 pages things have to move fast. But the writing was so hard for me to get through. I scanned the last 75% of the book and it's time I can't get back. I am a huge lover of cozy mysteries and this makes me cringe all over.

I highly suggest skipping this one.

I listened to the audiobook for this one and absolutely loved the multiple actors portraying these characters!

I really enjoy David's writing and I originally read The Last Mike first not knowing it was a series. Then I was finally able to get my hands on this audiobook and couldn't stop listening!

Amos Decker is very large man that has endured trauma that no one should ever endure in their dreams much less their lifetime. Because of someone he has lost not only his wife but his daughter and brother in law while he was working as a detective. He got home and they had been killed and tortured in ways that are unimaginable. What made it harder was they didn't have a suspect.

The aftermath took Decker down like no other. He felt he had nothing to live for anymore. He quit his job, became homeless and then became a PI to give him some kind of income. Until he was contacted to help with a case from his former boss.

While working with his previous partner they work to find out who could have caused so much pain in his life and continued to take more and more people down.

When they finally figure out who is behind it all he has no hesitation in putting himself on the line in order to catch them.

Amos Decker has many characteristics of autism due to his brain injury on the football field but I absolutely loved his demeanor and his forward ness. At times he made me laugh in his responses to questions and how he wasn't bothered by anything. He only wanted the truth!

As soon as I started reading this I knew I wouldn't be able to put this down. There hasn't been anything Holly has written that I haven't loved.

Staci and Mason were the perfect couple. She was running and he was there to catch her wholeheartedly!

I fell so hard for these two and couldn't stop reading even when I needed to! After loving this book so much I can't wait for the next installment!

The first 10% was good. The next 10% was just talking in circles with other people. Not my idea of fun.

I was having a rough time getting into this one. It started out strong and then devolved for me once we got to the pet names. It was really a huge turn off for me and I couldn't continue.

Once the reading mojo is lost it's hard to get back and I just don't think this one is for me.

I enjoyed this book up until this point. It's not the book it's me. Once I'm in a better headspace I will def pick it back up.

I'm excited to see where the story goes. I enjoyed the banter and back and forth between our two MCs. I def want to see what happens in this journey.

Thank you to the author for the complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

I'm in a book slump. And this just wasn't doing it for me. I tried on multiple occasions to keep going but alas it just wasn't for me.

I had a bit of trouble getting past the first 35%. After trying to get back through it I had to just put it down. It wasn't getting any better and I'm not going to push through.
