This, was SO GOOD.

How could I describe it? Bridgerton meets Ghost Whisperer plus we get to meet Death? YES, A MILLION TIMES YES. GIVE IT TO ME.

I'm so glad I decided to pick up this book. I got in only because of the Death premise but let me tell you, I thoroughly enjoyed the mystery, the crime solving, EVERYTHING.

Also, perfectly themed to be read in October, which made it 10x times better.

The writing? On point. Quote after, quote. I have a million tabs on this book that range from the love heart warming scenes to the best wake up moments.

Plus, for a YA book? IT WASN'T FADE TO BLACK. It was obviously done with the utmost care, and as if it was seen from the perspective of a woman in that timeframe. And it was beautiful, let me tell you.

I don't know what else you want me to say for you to consider picking up the book. Just do it, you won't regret it.

once again, fbaa flashbacks reading this one, but can we talk about how many twists the story took? i have to say i loved the sabine and basten having power dynamic problems, it was bound to happen, did i like how it was resolved? not that much, although it does feel like that's what people do when trying to salvage a relationship 😂

i was hoping woudix's character would've had a bit more romantic protagonism? i know this is no why choose (throne scene notwithstanding) but damn him, he was smooth, i wanted him to meddle a little bit more while he could😂

i do think sometimes there were holes in the plot, specially at the end, i feel like the gods did evolve to being a bit more cruel but these are oh so powerful beings and at the end they were like oh well, we'll be back, they didn't offer much resistance, but that's personal preference o guess 🤷🏼‍♀️

i don't think meghan's christmas books are hitting the same for me as her regular ones, and it makes me sad 🫠

i had a great time reading it, no doubt, but at the same time as a deeply introverted person, i cringed and hated every thing that happened to them 😭 i couldn't help but think if i was them i'd want the earth to swallow me whole, WHOLE 😂

anyway, if i had to describe this book in a sentence it would be, as we say in spanish, dios los cria y ellos se juntan, cause they couldn't be any better for each other 😂

i know we are going back to kringle next christmas and i am excited to know who will be the next victim 👀

i don't think i am made for teenage drama anymore, at least not when it's on paper 🫠

i started the audiobook because lola tung was narrating it, and she has such a stunning voice 🥺

maybe someday i'll listen to the rest of the books so i can also enjoy the boys narrating their characters 🫶🏻

it was quick, it was cute and it was spicy, hell yeah

not much else to say, I can't wait to pick up the main book and honestly now im curious about miles' story as well 👀

i kind of wished this had been a full length novel instead of a novella (? i felt like the ending was sort of a "omg i was not supposed to write this many words, let me just add the epilogue and call it a day" wish we had more hospital drama, a little bit more of yearning and a little bit more of the early stages when they first met

but overall it was cute and luke will live rent free in my mind for the forseeable future as lego boy 🫶🏻
