Very satisfying, light, funny, the characters are relatable, the romance is cute as heck and the mom is french, what's not to like?

I have kind of a mixed feeling about this one. Although the writing is pretty good, I could not bring myself to really care for the characters, which made it a bit hard to enjoy the book. I did enjoy it after a while though, but it took quite a long time.

1,5 livre. Une aventure digne des trois premières, suivie d'un final satisfaisant, qui relie tout, et qui donne à la série une vraie note de maturité et de cohérence. On ressent l'évolution des personnages, la gravité de leurs situations et de leurs choix. Très bonne conclusion.

A very entertaining story overall. The characters are lovable and the humour makes it a very entertaining pick. It's kind of a page turner. A lot is left to your imagination which makes it a very good bedside book. I wish the romance had been explored a bit more but I don't think it was the main point of this book. So I'll rate it 5 stars. One of his best works yet, in my humble opinion.

I'm a big fan of Peter V. Brett's demon universe, and found this one enjoyable as always. Despite the colorful and diverse cast of characters, I did find the story much slower to start than in the previous installments. Still a pretty solid read with a great writing style and a compelling universe.
