I was so close to DNFing this one. The first 25% of it was slow and the constant cursing annoying. But, it eventually picked up and the main character grew up a bit, which helped.
Slow to start, but then I absolutely devoured it! I'm a big Dramione fan, and a fan of Soto's work on AO3, so I was very excited to read this. Now I cannot wait to continue with Briony and Toven for two more books!!
Engaging, witty, and an inside look at a brain with anxiety. It made me anxious to go down her anxiety spirals with her, which I why I only gave 4 stars. Incredibly well-written.
I love the Dragon Age games, so it was fun to get to dive into the backstory of the Orlesian Empire. Full of intrigue, cunning, and questionable loyalties.
I'm convinced that this woman is incapable of writing a book that I won't love. Fantastic story with fantastic characters. The banter between Artemisia and the revenant was awesome. I wish there were more story because I don't want to leave these characters!
I've always been interested in true crime, and the Ripper case. I am glad to know more about his victims. They led difficult lives, and did not deserve to die such horrific deaths.
So much fun and such a great slow burn, rivals to lovers romance! I laughed and I cried. I know nothing about chess, but that didn't stop me from loving this story!
There aren't too many YA thrillers out there, so for the novelty alone this was a fun read. I did enjoy the mystery, though I kind of figured it out about half way through. A great intro to the thriller genre!
The first book in this series was fabulous. This one was a slog. I'm giving it 3 stars purely based on the final 70 pages. Oof. I'll be looking up the end of this series, rather than reading it.
This was a very cute re-imagining of the Frankenstein story! I liked the mystery aspect of it. I could have actually done without the sex scenes in this one. They didn't really feel necessary for the plot.
I love a book that revolves around music! The enchantments, spirits, and Scottish feel made this such a fun read. I cannot wait to read the second of this duology.
This was a fun read! I love Mae Whitman, and I always love a good full cast audiobook too! Fun premise, though I was a little confused for the first five minutes or so about what the relationship between the two main characters was.
I really enjoyed this story! It was a slow starter, but once Sona started on her travels, it was riveting. I love a good “finding yourself” story. I also liked learning about pre-WWII India. Great read!
This was a fun and entertaining look at what it is like to have ADHD. I came away with a few good tips for raising a child with ADHD with more compassion and understanding.
