Merging the horrific past of New Orleans with a simple action in today's world makes the story flare to life. Ghosting intersectionality is real. A great deal of discussion about this sociological theory was revived when Toni Morrison's Beloved came out. The blood that is spilled lasts for generations and can echo in their descendants' lives.
1140 Rue Royale is definitely one to read with the lights on (laugh). Add this story to your Halloween collection and you won't regret it.
