上京して一人暮らしをはじめて5年、毎日仕事に追われながらも充実した日々を送っていたシノ。
ある日の深夜、疎遠になっていた高校の同級生、ミオが訪ねてきた。
お金がなく住むところが決まっていないというミオに一晩泊めてくれ、と頼まれる。
少し雰囲気が変わった?と感じるが、少し抜けているところは相変わらず。
久しぶりに再会したにも関わらず不思議と馴染む隣にある体温に、懐かしい楽しさを思い出すシノ。
しかし、ひょんなことからミオが結婚間近の彼女がいたのに「男と浮気した」という噂を聞いてしまう。
自分のことを「最後の砦」というミオを放っておけず、同居を申し出るシノだったが――。

I don't think I have anything I really hated about this manga, but I didn't really love it all that much either.
I didn't care about any of the characters that much. Shino's pretty normal, Mio was a bit secretive, and while I lived that, there's literally nothing else interesting about him other than a pretty face. There were some adorable moments with the couple but the only two points of "drama" that came up felt really flat. Like they were trying to find something for them to fight about. Him slowly realizing he loves his friend: fine. There is a possessive person in the way and the drama around that: whatever. But nothing interesting really happens. I did have a problem with the change in translation. Something about the translation really took me out of the story in the later chapters.
