I can always trust Cyrus Townsend Brady to tell a story full of historical flavor and vivid action scenes. This one is about the Wyoming frontier and about a period of conflict with the Cheyenne general Dull Knife. Twice his troops threaten the life of Major Compton's little daughter and only child—first on the day she is born and second on the day she is kidnapped five years later. How is it that a frontier baby's existence is the reason for Dull Knife's final downfall?
