A Christmas Parranda

Christmas Parranda was not what I was expecting. Andrea Beatriz Arango combines English and Spanish languages in this holiday romance. Rocío has a decision to make about how she wants to live her life. Does she want to live up to her family's perceived expectations of her (this is not to say that there are not members who expect her to live a heternormative life). Or does she want to take a chance on someone who may or may not love her in return, but telling them how she feels will completely disrupt and change her life?

A very difficult decision and in my opinion the ghosts do not help (chuckle). Arango keeps you guessing. Christmas Parranda is a quick holiday read with a happily-ever-after for those loving rainbows. A clean and sweet retake on A Christmas Carol with chuckles, food, and of course love.
