AUDIOBOOK
I really enjoyed this collection on prayers. I enjoy hearing how others pray - what pulls on their heart, what angers them, how do they like to talk to God, etc. This audiobook was a great collection of prayers from so many different perspectives. I really enjoyed the “chicken noodle soup” prayers - it helped me to visualize the prayer and feel the emotions. I learned about breathing prayers and look forward to practicing those more.
This book caught my attention because I have felt distant from God and have felt like I lost my ability to pray - which has always been a huge part of my life. This book was good encouragement reminding me to pray however and wherever I want. I was hoping this would have more instruction on prayer, but I'm thankful that it didn't.
I recommend this book if you need to shake up your boring, stale prayer life.
I have savored every word of this book. I've gone back over most of the prayers at least twice already. I have fallen asleep listening to the audiobook multiple times. (Is it any wonder I had a dream last night where Sarah Bessey was comforting me?
