This book as an award-winning paperback is on my wishlist to have in our library. I was able to read it through the Audible with pictures edition that is in the Kindle Freetime Unlimited library, soon to be known as Kids+. I really enjoy the Audible with picture editions, I wish they were more easily marked and we would buy more of them. The illustrations are so different to me but stand out so strongly in the telling of folktale. I am not familiar with many of these tales but I do believe that I would enjoy having several Gerald McDermott stories on our shelf.
