A clunky, noisy book. Not sure how much of the clunkiness is from the translation and how much from the original text, but even if the text is at times pretty bad Finnish, it didn't bother me too much.
The story is about Assèze, who starts in a village in Cameroon, ends up living in Douala, the biggest city in Cameroon and then starts a new life in Paris. The book journals her difficulties living in Cameroon, getting along with her new sister Sorraya and the life as an immigrant in Paris.
A vivid, colourful book.
