ABOUT CHILDREN OF THE CORN
A Vintage Shorts “Short Story Month” Selection
Driving through the cornfields in rural Nebraska, Burt and Vicky run over a young boy—only to discover that they may not be responsible for his death. Out in the corn, something is watching them, and help is nowhere to be found.
From the unrivaled master of horror and the supernatural, Stephen King. “Children of the Corn,” first collected in the extraordinary collection Night Shift in 1973 and then adapted into a horror film franchise of the same name, is a terrifying and unforgettable classic of the genre.
An eBook short.

Goodreads really needs to add a half star system. This was more of a 3.5 star. The story teaches you a lesson in minding your business and listen to your partner. This was all Burts fault. I liked the movie better.

Stephen King never fails to deliver on creepy and eery stories that leave shivers down your spine.
I can never get over the imagery you get from his books, especially when some of them are as short as this one is. I felt like I was there and that I was experiencing the same terrors the characters were.
This is the perfect story if you are struggling with a book slump or you're just wanting to introduce yourself to the world of horror in fiction.
