I have to hand it to Ethan because he handles his surprise so calmly especially with his initial viewing of Claire (laugh). You need to read Daddy Dearest to see what I am talking about. Constance Masters writes a cute and funny little story. Claire is more than a handful, but Ethan is up to the job. Claire never dreamed of a cowboy so she had no recourse in mind when Ethan takes her in hand...except to get in more trouble because she likes what happens afterward (smile). I was chuckling a lot while reading Daddy Dearest and I think I would have spanked Claire too.
Now if all of Santa's elves looked like Bailey, I think we would all be making wishes like Holly did (laugh). Holy sugar. Holly is one very lucky little girl. Jessica Lynne makes going back to childhood fun. Bailey gives Holly back her innocence in a sense. Isn't that what the holidays seem to have become? Memories of childhood that people struggle to recreate. Lynne makes being little at times very innocent and at other times very naughty. A Little Christmas Wish is both naughty and nice.
Melinda Barron tackles what happens after the “happily-ever-after” in Aurora's First Christmas. Aurora's story continues the “Rescue Ranch” series with an update about other characters, but also Aurora and Holt's first Christmas together. Barron's story is detailed and complicated for an anthology. It is not too difficult to understand, but the topics are heavy and Barron concentrates on the ongoing issues with Aurora's past affecting her present and future. I don't want to give anything away, but there might be some trigger issues for people suffering emotional and physical abuse. I think this story would have better as a standalone versus the fluffy Daddy Dom Christmas title and idea indicates. Aurora's story is about strength, love, and family. Aurora and Holt are keepers.
Daddy Dom Christmas focuses more on the “little” relationships than on the Dom/sub sides of the relationship, though one might think they go hand in hand. “Little” relationship dynamics are very different than a Dom/sub relationship as it satisfies a different need. If you love “little” relationships then this anthology is for you. There are fun and fluffy stories and as I indicated above there is something deeper too. Daddy Dom Christmas is a “little's” dream come true.
I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
