This is a light cozy-style mystery that's mostly really good fun of trying to find out who killed a man. The book is squeaky clean and the murder barely described at all. There's no romance although the hint of it is there for later stories. Despite the short length, it's well-paced and feels complete. I've always enjoyed this town and especially liked this lighter and more whimsical view of it rather than the somewhat intense longer novels.
