As usual, he snuffed out the bad guys and said goodbye to a beautiful woman. But this time Reacher left something behind--a son. Cameron Reacher. A new generation of Reacher. Cameron learns on his mother's deathbed that his father is a mysterious drifter named Jack Reacher. Jack Reacher is out there somewhere. In order to know his father; Cameron follows in his footsteps--literally. With one thumb out, he hits the road to track down Jack Reacher, but what he gets instead is a town with a deadly secret and a distraught husband fighting to find his missing wife. The need for justice drives Cameron. Like father, like son. (With a special preview of Winter Territory. Book 2 in the Get Jack Reacher Series)

Not terrible, but definitely not anything memorable either. Plot was so predictable that before it ramped up I had figured it out and ended up being 0 plot twists. We're told many things about Widow, that he has eidetic memory basically and that he's supposed to be some badass undercover NCIS agent who has trained with seals and yada yada on all the other one man army bs and we're told this many times throughout the book that after a point I started rolling my eyes about this. Regarding the undercover thing I question this tbh, I mean he's supposed to have years of experience with this at this point. I bring this up because he starts hitchhiking because he on a whim decided to become a drifter, gets picked up and doesn't have a basic story or anything prepped, or you know any clothes toothbrush etc. Minor thing but a number of these pop up throughout the book. Anyways I wont be continuing the series as if I want a Reacher clone there are much better written ones out there.
