Haudattu jättiläinen

I had this on loan from the library after the book won the Tähtivaeltaja award for the best fantasy novel in Finland. I had it waiting for its turn, then Ishiguro goes and wins the Nobel prize... Well, I had to move this on top of my reading list, because my loan expires in few days and suddenly there's a long reservation queue for this book...

But very much worth reading, this one. It starts very hazy, but worry not – it gets more and more meat on the bones as it goes along. The story of Axl and Beatrice gets more detail, as the fog that surrounds everything and eats out memories is removed.

An intriguing, interesting novel.
