Wow. Wasn't expecting much, if anything. I just picked this up because it made the Tähtifantasia award short list in 2017, and, you know, it's a good award for picking up interesting books.
But this was good, very good. It's a short novel on loss, sorrow and dealing with all the pain that is related to that. Very simple, very emotional, and really quite well done. Jim Kay's amazing illustrations really make this novel; without them, a lot of the emotional power would be lost.
Very much worth reading.
