A solid story about two sisters and their emotional growth over the summer. It's definitely Southern fiction, set near coastal Alabama and in Florida, and it's a great clean read. Jenna got on my nerves a lot until the very end, but then I got to where I was able to root for her. I did miss the added depth that would have come if it was a Christian fiction novel, but I really appreciated how clean the story was and the uplifting feel it has.
Recommended to anyone who enjoys women's fiction, Southern literature, sisters in fiction, or just a good clean character-driven novel.
I'll definitely be trying other books by Denton.
