This one was another absorbing installment in the Golden Gate series about 1906 San Francisco. Judith, one of the three friends the series features, is hoping to get answers about a mysterious note left to her by her mother about a sister she had never before mentioned. While searching for her aunt, Judith is living with her friends. When she finds her extended family, it comes with shocking revelations about her past and raises more questions than answers.
I really enjoyed getting to know the characters better, although I really wanted more of both of them, especially Caleb. This book should have been at least 400 pages. :)
