My Birdie Puzzle Book

Abrams has a new imprint Appleseed that has me over the top excited. Starting my experience with two Puzzle Books. these are awesome. My toddler loves [b:My Birdie Puzzle Book 13429748 My Birdie Puzzle Book Jessie Ford http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1328765294s/13429748.jpg 18920605] and it is teaching her valuable skills - numbers 1-4, matching, basic puzzle skills, and prose just short enough for her to recite. I really like that the puzzle is two-in-one having a picture on one side with numbers on the reverse. I would not hesitate to buy more of this type of book. There is so much to learn and it is a great value. [b:My Bunny Puzzle Book 13268188 My Bunny Puzzle Book Jessie Ford http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1328765293s/13268188.jpg 18471754] is also a great one with a similar short story with a sentence per page to go with a picture segment of a cute grey and white rabbit. This time instead of numbers we are piecing together a carrot, a daisy, a bumblebee and footprints. One side of the puzzle has these images and a border while the other side has pieces to make up the bunny. Listening to fun facts about the bunny or birdie, taking out the puzzle pieces like a lift-the-flap, putting together the 4-piece puzzle - twice, once for each side, to putting the pieces back on the right page in the correct direction - tons of learning!
