Nightwing, Vol. 1: Better than Batman

I've missed a lot of DC stuff I'm realizing after reading this.

This was a good first novel, but some things are to be desired. Such as getting the vibe of bludhaven, like having it portrayed as cruel and that's kicking a puppy - Wow, that's how you know someone is mean! It seems like such a troupe that was set up lazily. (Nothing wrong with tropes - but come on. I laughed out loud at this.) Despite it, they seem to have a good understanding of Nightwing and really do make him beloved by family & friends and that's refreshing to see. They are also really leaning into that Dick is a safety net for others heroes/events that happen in DC and then also extending that to social services instead of investing his billions into the vigilante crime fighting gig.

Yeah, I would continue reading this series. It seems like a solid start.
