Oh well, what can I say? if you loved Jesse, the crazy angsty psycho hero Jodi Ellen Malpas created in her previous trilogy, there's no way you won't fall for Miller Hart. It's the same formula: granted, Livy has a sassier past than Ava, the previous heroine, (from This man trilogy), but she uses very little of it, and has the same ‘I'm plain and have no idea why you would fall for me' attitude. He makes big mistakes and sometimes is just plain stupid, and she keeps coming back to him. The reasons why they can't be together at some point seem flimsy, and she takes forever to find out the truth about him - Ava was smarter/luckier. Still, the comparison remains, and I don't give a damn, because I LOVED Jesse, his absolute craziness and passion for the heroine, and I see the same thing in Miller.
He walks in for a coffee - of course she has money she has never used; instead, she earns her living in a coffee shop, despite the fact that later on she seems to never go anymore just to stay with Miller :P - and their lives are never the same. Super sigh. He's sexy, he has piercing eyes and a killer smile, he pursues her and ‘worships' her. What's not to love? (actually, there's a list, but I'm not picky when it comes to cute angsty heroes; he's lovely even when he's brooding).
I'm just glad I waited to read it until I had the next one lined up (One night Denied), and I hate it that the final installment comes in February only. Jody, I superheart you :)
