Jan Fields really did a great job with this mystery. The story was very well thought out and the different parts were woven together perfectly. The story starts with Annie finding an old rag doll in the attic and she can't figure out who could have been its owner. She was sure it wasn't her mother who was never a doll person. Annie's friend and neighbor, Alice, meets a man who is visiting Stony Point to learn about and photograph the lighthouse. He is writing a book about lighthouses and the legends that tend to surround them. Alice and Annie decide to help him learn more about the legend and in the process solve the mystery of the doll.
