This was a little all over the place. There seemed to be so many different things going on at the same time. The dead women, the two dead kidnappers, whatever the warden was up to, what happened to Eli....and they weren't connected! It wasn't a bad story, there was just a lot going on.
I don't often give a book 5 stars, but this one certainly warrants it. An intense, intricate plot peopled by a cast of the complicated, dysfunctional characters that John Hart is so good at creating. A roller coaster of thrills and emotion. Highly recommended!
3.5 stars. Enjoyable, solid mystery read with interesting characters. Describing it as “stunning” may be over-hyping it a bit. Recommend to mystery/thriller fans.
