Riders of Enchanted Valley

Early California story that had me flipping pages with enjoyment. It's a colorful story of a young boy who heads west to join his older brother, who's married the daughter of a Spanish don and settled in the huge spread in Enchanted Valley. There's a ton packed into the story, mostly about the different races in conflict. Indian, American, Spanish, Chinese, and even wagon-train settlers. Really well-crafted story that feels like you're right there along with the characters. It's a hard book to find, but worth the hunt.
