I loved the Adventure books when I was little. Long enough, exciting enough, interesting enough... and now... well... Enid Blyton writes well enough. But her attitudes... oy vey.
All the villains are ugly and foreign, all the females are pretty much not good for anything, and everything else is as prejudiced and stereotypical as one can imagine.
