Stakes Are Raised

Laura Greenwood adds intrigue and undercover work for Stakes Are Raised, the second book in the “Stakes Trilogy”. One of the great trends of Greenwood's work is that she creates heroines who do not count on a male to save the day. Lily sees a situation which could threaten the den, comes up with a solution or a way to get more information, and acts on it. Mind you, she bites off more than she can chew and doesn't always let the higher ups know what she is doing (laugh).

Greenwood utilizes this second book to showcase Lily's new skills and what she is willing to do to do the “right” thing. We see more of Lily's character in this book and Greenwood makes her a heroine to root for.

Greenwood also lays that groundwork for the finale. It looks like it is going to be an exciting battle. I cannot wait.
