Marry me, Vardan!
I have seen some comments about how it is very bad that the book is too quick. But seriously, do you want the author to describe the routinic and boring life in the School? I think that was the point really.
I would not venture and say the book was perfect, but it was very good. (I can't wait to read book two!) It left you seriously on edge throughout the whole book that you really can't stop from reading it (I read it all at once). Maybe the short chapters helped with that, too.
It reminds me of the BOOK THREE (not book one or two) of the hunger games. Only, it was slightly BETTER told O.O... or maybe the plot was better (Sorry, Jomana!)
When I first signed up for the giveaway of this book, I did not read the synopsis like usual. The title itself drew me into signing up to this book (though I vowed to not sign up to anymore books since they are piling up for me!) The After/life. It sounded for me at first as if it was a philosophy book and I like books concerning those topics. And I was glad I was wrong. The book was waaaaaaaaay better than my expectations (And Vardan is soooo cute and elegant).
This book was the perfect micro ressemblance of our macro society. I loved it!
At first, I really didn't know where I was going in my reading (since I didn't read the synopsis) but soon enough I found myself engaged into it (at that point I ventured and read the synopsis)
Have I ever told you how much I love reading books about revolution and that kind of things? It was really good and had the PUUUUUUUURRRRRRFECT END even if it was a quick read.
