Exceptional. Informative, even on topics I consider myself informed about. The overall tone of the collection is slightly melancholy, but that's really to be expected: the topics of note these days—climate change, extinctions, antibiotic resistance—aren't on the whole cheerful. The writers all address their topics with respect and maturity, even compassion. The sad thing is that the people who need to read this, will not.
