The Blossom Shop

I read this book years ago. I have to say, it truly captured my heart. The main characters are an eight-year-old blind girl and her widowed mother, who run a flower supply company in an effort to keep poverty at bay. It's mostly told from little Gene's point of view, but includes some tender adult romance, too.
