This a sensitive treatment of an important topic for many children. Voilet struggles with her feelings about being biracial and the feeling that she doesn't really belong anywhere. She boldly goes on a journey to discover her father's family and ends up learning all sorts of interesting things about herself, life, race, etc. It was enjoyable enough. Not something I need to add to my collection, but a pleasant read.
