The Dixon Rule

It is always a good time being back at Briar University, but this book reinforced why I love Elle Kennedy so much. The Dixon Rule follows Diana, cheer leader for Briar and BFF to GiGi Graham, and Shane, member of Briar's men's hockey team. Shane Lindley is a MMC that I know will be stuck in my head for a while. He's literally the whole package: he's sexy, kind, and communicates like a dream. Diana and Shane find themselves living at the same condo complex, which Diana doesn't love. Some events transpire which leads them to set aside their rivalry and pretend to be dating—which we all know leads to development of real feelings swoon. I loved everything about this book. It is funny, it is sexy as hell, and it was emotional. With tropes like forced proximity, fake dating, enemies to lovers what's not to like? The Dixon Rule reminded me so much of some of Elle Kennedy's earlier works and I loved that! This book does cover some heavy topics so please check trigger warnings or DM me.
