The Garden of Lies

If you like lots of action or “Ruritanian” style books, give this one a try. The tiny fictional country of Novodnia in the Balkans is being threatened by Russians who want to take it over, and the prince is too busy running after an American girl he just married—and who's sick—to stay and take care of his country. She met an accident just after the wedding ceremony and doesn't even remember who he is! So Teddy, the narrator, and his friends just have to take a hand to try to make things right.

Except it seems their help is only making things worse....
