An old-fashioned moralistic story of a young newspaper boy who must do the right thing in order to succeed. The topic is similar to an earlier Henry Alger-type story, but with a better finesse of delivery. Richard, a teen orphan, is the only breadwinner for his family after his older brother meets an accident that lands him in bed indefinitely. He starts as an office boy but dreams of becoming a reporter.
A feel-good story that is a quick and uplifting read.
